Before you start you need to perform mechatronics modification in the gearbox: Youtube video
TurboLamik TCU needs 4 things to properly function:
- throttle position
- brake pedal signal
- RPMs
- torque generated by engine
This can be provided using analog inputs (see wiring diagram) or by CAN protocol.
List of supported standalone ECUs
There are also cars that don’t support torque by CAN or torque is very low resolution. You can try to use MAP sensor via CAN or if it’s not available you will be required to install MAP sensor.
If you are using standalone ECU, you won’t have TQ provided over CAN, so either connect MAP sensor directly to TCU or find it on CAN
Last thing you will need is a shifter. This can be:
- CAN selector
- paddles/DCT shifter
- analog selector
- analog switch
